A residential building representing 19th century architecture
The residential building that is under the monument protection stands on an irregular shaped plot in the centre of the village. The building that was built in the 19th century has been reconstructed several times. The rooms are in the following order: bedroom, kitchen, bedroom and back kitchen, which was originally a larder. The house is an important building in itself, but the veranda with its little columns running alongside the garden front makes it an outstanding example of architecture.
The floor is stiff clay in all the rooms. The chimney that was originally found in the house has been covered by barrel vaults.
At the back of the plot there was a partly ruined stable/barn. The walls were made of tuff which is easily accessible locally. The roofing was made of beams.
